Empower Fitness Harrogate is dedicated to supporting women's health journeys at our brand new facility.
Women's health covers many areas:
- Fitness improvements
- Developing strength
- Maintaining muscular tone and bone density
- Improving mental health
- Postnatal support
- Managing peri-menopause and menopause symptoms
Empower isn’t about how much weight you can lift, how fast you can move, or how you compare to anyone else.
Empower means helping women feel positive about themselves - in their bodies, their minds, and their everyday lives. It’s about building strength, yes, but also confidence, happiness, and self-belief.

It’s positivity.
It’s walking into the gym and feeling safe, supported, and encouraged.
Success isn’t measured by being the strongest, fastest, or quickest. It’s measured by showing up consistently, trying, learning, and leaving feeling better than when you arrived.

Kate Fishwick
Owner and Lead Coach
Kate is the owner and lead coach at Empower, and the driving force behind the supportive, positive culture you feel the moment you walk through the door. Having coached hundreds of women and delivered thousands of classes, she brings a wealth of experience alongside genuine passion for helping women thrive.
Kate is deeply knowledgeable in strength and fitness, but what truly sets her apart is her ability to read people. She understands when to encourage, when to challenge, and how to bring out the very best in every woman she coaches. Her sessions are empowering, motivating, and always delivered with warmth and belief in your potential.
At the heart of Empower is Kate’s mission: to help women feel strong, confident, and proud of what their bodies can do

Tina Wardill
Coach, Facilities & Maintenance Lead
Tina brings heart, humour, and a whole lot of care to every session she leads. Compassionate and attentive, she creates a space where women feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to give things a go - no pressure, no judgement.
Alongside her caring nature, Tina has a wicked sense of humour that keeps sessions light, fun, and full of laughter (even during the tough bits!). She knows how to lift the mood while still helping members work hard and feel proud of themselves.
Behind the scenes, Tina is also the reason everything runs so smoothly. From maintaining equipment to keeping the gym looking its best, her dedication and practical skills are invaluable to Empower.

Nina Heley
Coach
Don’t let her size fool you - Nina is a true pocket rocket with incredible strength and an even bigger presence in the gym. She brings boundless energy to every session, lifting the whole room with her enthusiasm and drive.
Always wearing the biggest smile, Nina creates a positive, uplifting atmosphere where members feel instantly at ease. She’s intuitive in her coaching, knowing exactly when to push, when to support, and how to help each woman believe in what she’s capable of.

Our timetable
All our sessions are run from a brand new facility in Harrogate.
Group classes - functional fitness sessions of up to 20 women, suitable for any ability level and targeting improved cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and good vibes!
Lift sessions - small group weightlifting sessions designed to improve and maintain muscular strength and bone density. Classes of up to 8 women and suitable for any ability or experience level.
